Peanut Butter Cookies

I like programming (at work) and learning for fun. You'll often find me cooking and working on my house in my spare time.
Verna Stott’s recipe, taken from an old Betty Crocker cookbook.
Cream together in a stand mixer:
1 cup soft shortening
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
Stir in to the creamed mixture:
2 ½ cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 ½ teaspoons soda
½ teaspoons salt
Bake 10-12 minutes at 350ºF
